St Thomas More Primary School Mt Eliza
On behalf of the St Thomas More School community, I would like to warmly welcome you to St Thomas More Catholic Primary School, Mt Eliza.
St Thomas More’s is a nurturing and welcoming community that provides a high quality education and supports the full flourishing of every child. We are a Child Safe school promoting the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. We are proud of our Catholic faith and tradition and this underpins all areas of school life.
We enjoy a strong sense of community at St Thomas More, with this being one of our greatest strengths. We welcome active engagement in the life of the school by all members of our community. Working together with our parents, we aim to foster confident and enthusiastic learners and resilient and respectful young people who live out the Gospel values in their everyday lives. This close partnership with our families enables us to provide students with a strong sense of belonging and connectedness that is critical for students to thrive.
At St Thomas More, we understand that positive relationships are at the heart of good teaching. Teachers take time to get to know each child and develop a deep understanding of their unique gifts, talents, personalities and learning needs. This knowledge helps teachers plan differentiated learning programs that meet individual student needs and assist each child to reach their full potential.
Our students enjoy encouraging and challenging learning environments, where we celebrate strengths and promote a growth mindset. Our teaching staff are dedicated to creating a collaborative culture of learning where students learn to problem solve and think critically and creatively. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards in all curriculum areas whilst nurturing the wellbeing of each student.
As Principal, l am passionate about providing exceptional learning opportunities for all our children in a safe and supportive learning environment. The dedicated and highly professional staff of St Thomas More’s share this passion and together we look forward to working in partnership with you to support your child on their educational journey.

"Deciding to send your child/ren to St Thomas More is a decision you won't regret. Our experience has been seamless. Transitioning three children in Year Four, Two and Prep, was a daunting decision, but the support provided by the school was excellent. We also participated in the ‘new family buddy program’, which was an invaluable experience and no doubt further supported our transition.
I am thrilled by our decision to send our children to St. Thomas More, and I am confident that they will reach their full potential, academically and emotionally. I mean, how could they not; being surrounded by fantastic educators and a like-minded parent community."
"We are so grateful for the passionate teaching staff who genuinely care about our children's wellbeing. It's such a welcoming school community and the families look out for each other. Our children are thriving in this nurturing school environment."

Prep Enrolment & Transition Program
St Thomas More Mt Eliza
Meet our Principal, staff and students when you begin your journey at STM with a school tour.
In November, your child is invited to join the Prep teachers at STM to experience a range of fun activities.
At our enrolment interview, our learning partnership with parents begins as we start to get to know your child and your family.
Parent Information Session
This is an opportunity for new and current families to get to know each other and to learn a little more about STM.
To ensure a smooth transition to school, our staff love to visit students at their kinders.
Orientation in the Classroom
The final step of our Prep transition process is an orientation morning in your child’s Prep classroom with their new teacher and classmates.
